For premium features, we use ExtPay (a secure payment processor) to handle:

  • Trial status and subscription information
  • Payment processing data (handled securely by ExtPay)

1.3 Current Session Data

During active use, the extension accesses:

  • Currently playing song information from Spotify web player
  • Song titles to identify tracks and apply saved speed settings

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

Variatify does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
  • Location data or IP addresses
  • Browsing history outside of Spotify
  • Authentication credentials or passwords

All your music preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it
  • Data persists until you clear it or uninstall the extension

4.2 Payment Security

Payment processing is handled securely by ExtPay, a trusted service designed specifically for browser extensions. We do not store or have access to your payment details.

We do not share, sell, or rent your information to third parties, except:

  • Your Choice: When you export your preferences, you can share them with others

6. Your Rights and Controls

You have complete control over your data:

  • Clear All Data: Use the "Clear All Preferences" button to remove all stored settings
  • Export Data: Download your preferences as a JSON file
  • Import Data: Restore preferences from a backup file
  • Individual Control: Clear settings for specific songs
  • Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes all local data

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 ExtPay

7.2 Giphy

We load GIF images from Giphy for UI enhancement. These are static media assets that don't collect user data.

Your data is retained as follows:
